秋5~8: 愛人哪,旋轉吧~~


(2010.10.22 - Big Hip Circle)

不過六週,老師已經把第一支舞【Fadel Shaker - Ya ghayeb】給教完了。

我很喜歡這首深情傾訴的歌曲,而老師的編舞用了許多旋轉,所以一定要穿上大圓裙或是孔雀舞衣的多片接綴長裙,才能充分展現長裙的旋轉之美。為了那個 Fu,我還特別買了一件便服長裙來練舞,雖不夠長,但還算夠寬,有那麼一點點兒旋轉的味道。

這首【Fadel Shaker - Ya ghayeb】不像一般的歌曲,每一小節的區分都十分明確。有時為了做足某些動作的表情,往往會進行到下一小節的前四拍。而有些動作無法停頓(以展示表情),必須馬上接到下一個動作,否則會來不及。(私下猜想,老師還沒有細修後半段的動作吧 *_*)

下面是偶整理的舞碼,應該沒有洩漏舞碼的疑慮吧!因為連淑玉都說看不懂而不想看,想來舞碼還是得自己整理才看得懂唷!就讓我們來旋轉吧~~

秋1~4: Fadel Shaker - Ya ghayeb

暑假休息了兩週,後來回湖南,所以一開學我就翹了兩堂課。整整一個月沒跳舞了,而第三堂課前,淑玉恰巧身體不適無法幫我補課,心理有點兒恐慌。

反覆聽著老師所給的音樂(Fadel Shaker - Ya ghayeb),非常喜歡。深情款款的訴說,帶著旋轉的線條的音樂。電子樂音增添現代感,而很美的弦樂音符恰如其分的譜出古老的不移深情。而老師果然編了很多旋轉的舞步以展現長裙的美麗。

忍不住,我又請出了古狗大神。很幸運的找到這篇文章,文中列出很多相關的 Video,還有歌詞唷!

Personal life

Fadl Shaker (Ibn EL Genoob), was born on April 1, 1969 in Saida (Sidon), a city in Southern Lebanon(黎巴嫩). He is Palestinian(巴勒斯坦人), but born in Lebanon. He lives in Saida in Jadet Nabih Berri. He is married to his wife Nadia a fellow Palestinian, and has three children, Mohamed, Alhan & Eno.

Fadl Shaker was always concerned about singing maqamat, the hardest of Arabic melodies, and he always tried to preserve the true Arabic musical style in all of his songs. 暑5~6 - 最後舞步 & Reverse & 小蛇手

● 2010.8.13: 最後舞步
(傳說中的黑色星期五,幸好沒事發生。)

果然,老師把剩下的舞步全部教完。

(最後的舞步,接在大腿舞之後)
- 向左扭身轉正,扭身轉正,搖一搖,然後 reverse兩次(8拍)
- 向右扭身轉正,扭身轉正,搖一搖,然後 reverse兩次(8拍)
- 然後是雙手高舉向左轉一圈(8拍)
- 小蛇手前進,然後擺出 ending pose

練習時,Liya & Greace 被老師指出 Reverse 的姿勢不對。
而我則是小蛇手的動作不正確,肩膀不應該有明顯的移動。
於是我又請出了【你管大神】,只是後來一直忙著修改舞衣,沒時間整理結論。直到成果展結束,我終於可以交作業了!(吐舌頭)

● 2010.8.20: 舞衣試跳

隔天(8.21)就是成果展了,Liya 建議先帶舞衣過來試跳。
多虧如此,我才發現原來我的舞裙過長,所以下課後繼續瘋狂的修改舞衣。

今天的課主要就是練習隊形變換,而且必須考慮老師另外找了5個穿短裙的辣妹來支援的相對位置。

此外,老師臨時抓了5個同學來表演鼓舞,我沒入選,八成是因為跳錯...好多次。(囧)
老師馬上為這五位同學編了一小段出場的動作,真是很厲害耶!

隔天的成果展,我會另外寫一篇小文,這裡就留給 Reverse & 小蛇手囉!

  • Reverse:
老師所謂的 Reverse,指的是 Camel Reverse。

而 Camel(駱駝) 與 Undulation(波動) 經常被混淆使用。有人說 Undulations 的擺動僅限於軀幹,而 Camel 則會動到肩牓(see below Notes);但也有人並沒有如此區分。

Notes: Belly Dancing Undulations : Camel Belly Dancing Undulation -- Johanna said: An undulation happens inside the perimeters(周圍;邊緣) of the body, mostly without moving the shoulders. So an undulation is a torso and a hip movement. On the other hand, a Camel is when you that movement a little bit larger and start using the shoulder with it.

在這裡我僅以 Undulation 的角度來探討 Reverse Undulation 的動作。



B老師在這則影音中的兩段介紹:
- Hip undulations (forward-tuck-back-release) – 1:28 ~ 5:22
- Hip reverse-undulations (tuck-forward-release-back) – 5:31 ~ 6:30

tuck: 將恥骨收回到骨盆內
forward: 骨盆略為向前
release: 放鬆恥骨
back: 骨盆後移回到原位


Johanna老師的口訣是 sit-tuck-pull-lift



兩位老師的動作在質地上還是有一些不同。
我的感覺是 Johanna 老師的動作比較經典,恥骨為上下移動,臀部幾乎完全沒有移動。
But, B老師的動作比較接近老師的動作,恥骨為前後移動,臀部也跟著前後輕移唷!

松山07-08 - 鼓舞與 Walking Shimmy

2010.4.16星期五,中東文化與肚皮舞的第07堂課。
2010.4.23星期五,中東文化與肚皮舞的第08堂課。

連續兩週,淑玉都因為感冒而請假,所以上課時我格外認真的錄影。只是不巧媽咪剛好下南部照顧外婆,我沒有回娘家,遇不到淑玉就沒法複習。幸好遇上公民週休課,正好喘一口氣。而媽媽昨晚回來囉,明天就有機會碰面&練舞囉!

第七堂課,彷彿是一個頓號,一個短暫的休息。主要是資深同學表演上學期的兩支舞碼,還有分組驗收第一支舞(阿阿阿阿)。下課前教了兩個鼓舞會用到的新舞步,舞步本身不難,可是左右左右的手腳常常不協調,練了好一會才比較OK。

第八堂課,開始練習鼓舞,總共教了5個八拍的舞序。老師要求我們的動作必須有力,才能搭配鼓舞的FU。

此外,老師還教了一個比較難的舞步 -- Walking Shimmy, 亦稱為 3/4 Shimmy (四拍中三個動作)。

先教分解動作:
0. (B老師--將重心移到左邊)
1. 踮起右腳,同時提高右臀 (第一拍)
2. 放下右臀使腰部變成水平 (第二拍) (B老師--垂下右腰)
3. 踩下右腳,同時將右臀向外推出 (第三拍 & 第四拍) (第四拍為停頓)
4. 換左邊

==> 看來老師教的是:Up 3/4 Shimmy
==> 而 B 老師教的是:Side 3/4 Shimmy

漸漸的加快速度,就可以一面 Shimmy,一面輕搖臀部的移動。
老師將同學們分成兩列隊伍,各自帶隊在教室中不斷的練習 Walking Shimmy & 隊伍前進。練得天長地久,大家都累壞了。


沒有例外的,我又上網查了資料。這才發現 3/4 Shimmy 有多種變化。



眾多 3/4 Shimmy 影音教學中,我挑選了一些做為參考:

2:09 ~ 4:05 之間為 walking shimmy
重心移右腳, 左臀up(on hill)-down-shift (反之亦然) + walking


Right-Left-Right。在每一邊連續做兩個推臀的動作。

Rasha’s 3/4 Shimmy Breakdown

The 3/4 shimmy is one of the most difficult movements to master in bellydance. This is partly because there are so many different ways to break them down, and each 3/4 shimmy has its own rhythm that sometimes is difficult to hear in the music. It’s very easy to over-think the movement and get frustrated. Below I’ve described my interpretation of how 3/4 hip shimmies are broken down. I hope this will help you better understand this complicated bellydance movement that also happens to be one of my favorites.


THE BASICS
3/4 shimmies are so named because there is three movements for every four beats of music. That means if there are four beats, you move for three of those and hold the fourth beat.
Remember that you will take only one step for the three movements. On the fourth beat, you will hold or prepare the opposite hip for the next three movements.
For the musically inclined person, this means that you’re moving in 16ths. So the music would be counted 1e&a2e&a3e&a4e&a, etc. The hips are moving on “1e&” and holding on “a.”
There are three basic 3/4 hip shimmies – side, down, and up. This describes the first movement that your hip will make. All other 3/4 shimmies are variations of these three.
The first movement is always the biggest and determines what kind of 3/4 shimmy you will be doing. The next two movements will be VERY small, like a reverberation(回響;餘韻;反射) of the first movement.
3/4 shimmies are all about the hips, not the knees. If you haven’t mastered basic hip articulations (lift, drop, thrust), these shimmies can be very difficult. This is also why 3/4 shimmies are more difficult for beginners, because you’re still trying to get those basic movements into your muscle memory.
The movement comes from the hips but you must always keep the knees soft so the hips have maximum range of motion.
The movement will always be the same. Right (Big), Left (Little), Right (Little), Left (Big), Right (Little), Left (Little). This is assuming you’re starting on the right foot. The difference comes in whether your hip goes to the side, down, or up on your first “Big” movement.


SIDE 3/4 SHIMMY
On the first “Big” movement, you will step pushing your hip to the side (like a hip thrust). For the “Little” movements, you will keep your weight on that same side and the hip movements will be small side hip movements, almost like you’re wagging your tail. Your weight won’t switch to the other side until you’ve done one big movement and the two little ones. Then you’ll switch to the other side to do the three movements (Big-Little-Little) on that side.
Think: Right-Swing-Swing/Left-Swing-Swing (Bold means bigger)
Variation – The Reverse 3/4 is the same as the Side 3/4 except that instead of taking the hip directly to the side on the “Big” movement, the hip pushes out at a forward angle. The “Little” side movements pull the hips back into their natural position making a reverse figure 8 motion.


DOWN 3/4 SHIMMY
On the first “Big” movement, you will step pushing your hip down. For the “Little” movements, that same hip will come up and then back down.
Your weight doesn’t come completely into that stepping foot until the last of the three movements. On the hold beat, you will be lifting the opposite foot so it is ready to step down as the hip goes down.
Keeping your knees very soft is especially important on the down. If you have your knees too straight, the movement begins to look like a penguin walking.
Think: Down-Up-Down/Down-Up-Down
Variation – The Hagalla 3/4 (also known as the Pigeon Toe) is the same as the Down 3/4 except that instead of taking the hip straight down on the “Big” movement, the hip arches forward and down. The “Little” up-down movements pull the hips back into their natural position. The easiest way to access this movement is to step down with the foot and knee turned in. This, however, limits your movement. For example, there’s no way for you to move backward with the feet turned in so it’s best to try to keep the foot facing forward and just arch the hip forward and down.


UP 3/4 SHIMMY
On the first “Big” movement, you WILL NOT step. You will lift your hip up and lift your foot (preparing to step down). For the “Little” movements, that same hip will go down and then back up.
Your weight doesn’t come completely into that stepping foot until you lift the opposite hip and foot.
Think: Up-Down-Up/Up-Down-Up

網路好課程 - B 老師

為了解決心中對於 Camel 的疑惑(詳見前一篇文章),我在網海中尋尋覓覓,意外找到這一系列由 BellyDanceBoulevard.com 提供的好課程。
每個課程約 7 ~ 9 min,很詳盡的由練習動作開始,漸漸導入舞步。
而且因為授課老師的母語並非英文,所以她講得比較慢,我比較聽得懂,不至於鴨子聽雷。

真的很開心自己又重拾認真學習的心情,我想這跟辦公室的壓力有絕大的關係。

松山03-04 – Camel, Camel & 貴人


(這個就是傳說中的 Camel 嗎?)

  • Camel, Camel
這兩週的重點都是 Camel,就是那個讓我深受挫折的動作。
我一直以為是『動胸+踏步+動手』的動作,練得很累,胸部很快就沒力了。我在 Plurk 上無力的呻吟著,這時 Liya 出現啦!

3/16 Liya 在 Plurk 回答如下:『呵呵,這個動作的手和腳都能帶動腹部的滾動。一開始先原地踏步,踏順了之後,膝蓋彎曲時,腹部自然向內縮,腳踏下時,腹部會自然向外放鬆,再加上手。整個連貫就是:膝蓋彎曲時,手會由外向內轉,腹部自然往內縮,腳踏下時,手向外,腹部向外放鬆,就自然成了腹部的滾動。就是左腳、右腳原地踏步,最後才是,胸部up down down、up down down。』

按照她的說法來練習,果然比較容易做到。但是胸部到底有沒有來攪和呢?

當晚(3/16) Liya 上過課後,答:『胸部應該是沒有來攪和,只是踏步時,胸部自然會動而已。』

我斷斷續續練著,不是很有把握,胸部總是妾身未明的曖昧。

後來週五(3/19)上課時,問了老師,得知那個動作是
Camel。可惜沒時間問到動作細節,於是我開始狂找 Camel 的資料。

首先參考手邊的『肚皮舞學習百科』,發現有『
駱駝擺臀/Camel (lower)』、『駱駝挺胸/Camel (upper)』,以及兩者加起來的『波浪滾動(蛇腰)/Body Wave』。那,到底老師所指的 Camel 是什麼?我試著照書上所寫的來練習,卻不得要領。果然很難以文字來了解動作,充其量只能當做重點提醒。接著查看我買的教學光碟也無法確認。看來 Camel 的身份很複雜。

這一則影音說到Undulations與Camel是不同的。
Undulations 的擺動僅限於軀幹,而 Camel 則會動到肩牓。
(原文:An undulation happens inside the perimeters(周圍;邊緣) of the body, mostly without moving the shoulders. So an undulation is a torso and a hip movement. On the other hand, a Camel is when you that movement a little bit larger and start using the shoulder with it.)
如此看來,老師的舞步比較接近 Undulations。

影片中間的地方,K 老師提及 Full Undulations is Camel。
胸部有動作,但肩牓沒有移動唷!

看到後來,更加混亂,我的頭都暈啦!
決定拋開這一切,就用自然的律動來做那個舞步好啦!


但是,昨晚(3/26)老師示範了 Camel 的動作,
就是胸部先動,帶動腹部律動。而且肩膀沒有明顯的移動。

按照這個邏輯,比較像書中所言的『駱駝挺胸/Camel (upper)』及 K 老師的 Camel。
書中重點:『正確的做法是用上腹部來控制動作。』
『常犯的錯誤就是身體會向前傾,而讓頭部和肩膀牽引身體,拱背的幅度太大。』


這個結論讓一切回到原點,我必須重新練習那個讓胸部很累的動作。
縱使過程有些頭痛,我還蠻喜歡這樣的追尋。
 
此外,我還必須加強練習那些左右不分的段落,以及老師昨晚教的那一大段舞碼。

3/29 :我的結論大致是 Camel 是一種由外向內上捲的動作,就像駱駝行進間,總是向前跨一步,接著身體上抬向後移動一點的行走方式。所以有『駱駝擺臀/Camel (lower)』及『駱駝挺胸/Camel (upper)』。而肩膀是否移動則在於向前上捲的幅度大不大而已。

找了這麼多資料,終於確認名稱只是老師方便稱呼某些動作的方式,所以儘管名稱一樣,卻可能會有些微的差異。

所以呀,已經決定不要太在乎細節了。找出自己最喜歡的方式,就對了。*_*

真的感恩,生命中經常有貴人相助。

在這個松山社大的肚皮舞班,Liya 是我的貴人一號
真是好棒!原本我以為來到松山上課,注定孤隻影單。沒想到Liya來了!
雖然咱倆在不同的班級,第一支舞碼居然相同,進階班教的快,所以 Liya 分享給我的錄影與音樂對我有著莫大助益。
就像上一週我明明帶了相機,卻因為一直急著練舞而忘記拿出來。幸好,Liya 之前已經寄來進階班舞碼的錄影,正好參考。關鍵時刻,貴人就出現啦!(但,第二首就不可能那麼幸運啦!趁早把皮繃緊一點)。

淑玉則是我的貴人二號
真是好棒!因為 Liya 跟我不同班,原以為注定孤隻影單。沒想到淑玉來了!
歷經傷痛的她依然開朗愉悅,她的朗朗笑聲,總是提醒我何妨懷著輕鬆愉快的心情來上課呢!

老師則是我的貴人三號
雖然目前上課時並沒有特別雕琢到動作,這點與我的初衷相違。(憾)
然而老師總是笑著鼓勵或用逗趣的方式來糾正我們,加上我懷著輕鬆投入的心情入戲,這樣的夜晚變得格外明亮。(那...昨晚上課那郭有點陰鬱,擔心記不住舞碼的心情又是如何?...嗯!速速拋開。)
由老師的網誌文章『貓愛(eye)』更發現老師充滿愛心與包容心,即是家裡已有老狗,依然願意收容流浪貓,而她對貓的敘述,正合我意。而『無為而為』原本就是我的理念,但求努力當下,不在乎結果是否與成就相當。但求生活於當下,放下所有計較分別之心。很慶幸能遇見這樣的好人、好老師唷!

我所謂的貴人,除了那些真正伸出救援之手的人之外,還有這些值得感謝的人。值得感謝,因為他們讓我想起生命的美好本質,那又何必沉浸在陰鬱的世界裡呢!

而我相信,我選擇感謝哪些人攸關於我選擇什麼樣的生活態度。(dance)


  • 值得記下的小插曲:
第三週:老師要我們分組,每組約10人,必需有新舊生。我和淑玉眼明手快的投靠蘭兒。蘭兒跳得很好,雖然有些肉肉的,但動作都十分有力道。讓我更有信心,決心以她為本。而且蘭兒以前是本班班長,很會照顧人呢!

Thanks! kimbrgsm1, my oriental dance teacher on the internet.

練舞時,最大的困擾就是基本動作不好,又不知如何修正。

翻開我買的書,要不寥寥數語,要不說的不明不白。或許是自己的領悟力有限,很多時後根本沒法體驗書中的要訣。而我買的教學 DVD 更糟,只看到影中人的曼妙舞姿,自己的身體卻根本不聽使喚。

終於古狗大神再度發揮威力,在網路上高聲一呼,找到不少教學 video。其中我最喜歡的就是 kimbrgsm1。不只因為她仔細的說明舞步的每個細節,還有她帶點幽默的說明。例如:在 『back eight』中,她就示範可以在看電視或講電話時,練習這個舞步。嘻嘻!

當然她是以英文發音,縱使淺顯,以我的英文能力當然不可能全部聽懂。幸好肢體語言通行全世界,藉由她的教學 video ,我更接近東方舞一點了。

所以,我給自己的暑假作業就是好好練習基本舞步,希望能在輕鬆舞出東方舞的韻味,有希望能夠在即興舞蹈時隨手拈來如意

1. Belly dance basic - back eights (4:48)

start with knees bent, can use either hip to start but for instruction: right hip moves diagonally(斜地) forward towards tip of right toes, circles around the right foot to heel. then move hips diagonally left, so left hip is towards left toes. circle left hip around left foot to heel. repeat.

the energy starts in a shoulder lifting, energy ripples(呈波狀) down to elbow lifting, then flows to wrist, finally releasing out the finger.

basic shimmy.. oh there is so much to learn about shimmies. this lesson touches only on the basic shimmy. bend knees, abs(腹部肌肉) pulled to spine(脊椎) for support. Alternate(交替的) straightening knees (don’t lock knees). start slow, the faster you go the less your knees bend.

These eights are "drawn on the wall" (在牆上畫8) hips don’t move forward or backwards. only side to side. start knees bent: right hip comes up slightly as it slides out, R abs(腹部肌肉) contract(收縮). Stay out slide down.
Now repeat on left. keep it smooth, chest lifted and still, shoulders rolled back to comfortable position

again figure eights drawn on the wall (在牆上畫8) as opposed to around your feet. hips only move side to side. no forward/back movement. Can start any hip, knees bent, right hip slide diagonally out and up, as the right hip follow the curve of the eight up, R abdominals(腹肌) contract(收縮). slide hips diagonally left so left hip is down/out follow the curve of the eight up, as L abdominals contract. slide right hip down/out ... repeat.

You probably hear me call the hip drop, back, they are both the same thing.
the major difference between the two is where you are hitting the drum beats. Hip lifts - one leg slightly in front of the other that knee is very bent, weight on the back leg which is slightly bent. straighten the front leg, tighten(使繃緊) that glut. lift, lift lift hip to beat of music.
back or down hips. same pose, but this time, you drop that hip to back, like there is a drum behind your butt(屁股) and you are going to smack(砰然作聲地) it. drop drop drop to the beat.

Ya Mustapha & Liya's 軟體工具

(南天母‧桐花公園‧ 2009.5.3)

最近的兩堂課開始教舞碼,音樂是「Ya Mustapha」。
剛開始還沒找到音樂時,練舞時很沒 FU,就越練越沒勁,真的很痛苦。
(奇怪勒!幹嘛不問老師呢,阿~~ 就素不好意思呀!)
幸好後來在 Liya 的部落格看到她說很喜歡這首歌,既然喜歡,一定知道歌名。所以我就回應在 Liya 的文章《舞9‧舞碼與即興&Happy Birthday to Me 2009.4.30》囉!

謝謝 Liya, 順利的看到了! (謝謝 Liya 讓我看到她的錄影耶!)
雖然自己也有寫筆記,但是一兩天後,印象就漸漸淡去,抓不到當時的感覺。看了你的Video後,一切又清晰了起來。

對了,我覺得錄影有很大的幫助唷!
之前,我在家裡都是對著穿衣鏡練習,可是穿衣鏡很窄,隨便移動就離開鏡子了,完全不知道自己跳的樣子。昨晚趁著家人睡覺之後,把客廳中央搬出一個空間,然後依樣畫葫蘆的搞個小相機來錄影,這才發現自己的某些動作真的很呆。比如雙手扶頭畫8的動作簡直像是要暈倒似的,害我自己笑了半天。
總之,我覺得這個 idea 真的很棒,至少一定可以看到自己的進步唷

還有你可以告訴我專輯&音樂名稱嗎?
還是乾脆幫我買一張,這會是我的第一張東方埃及舞的專輯唷!我想對的音樂來搭配合適的動作會更有 FU 唷!

沒想到我這小小的分享也能鼓舞你對東方舞的熱情,真是讓我太感動啦!

呵呵,我生平無大志,就是希望我喜歡的事也能感染別人,和我一樣在這學習的過程中獲得快樂與滿足。

不瞞你說,我會將自己舞動的身影錄製下來,一來可仔細觀察自己的肢體是否要修正,有時候我們比較容易在別人身上看到缺點,但自身的缺點卻是不容易看見,當透過影片中,自己的每一個動作將無所遁形,你就知道自己該如何去改進了。
再來,的確看影片時,我和你一樣會笑到倒地,哈哈,這也有自娛娛人的效果唷!
至於這張專輯,待我再確定一下。

另外,她還很仔細說明 Mustapha 是很常見的男子名,所以可能會找到很多不相干的東東。

我想到你似乎提過用一個軟體來節錄音樂,方便練舞。不知道你使用什麼軟體呢?因為我想把這段音樂,拆出A段(約前面30秒),及B段(後續的30秒),再來一個A+B段。這樣不僅我們練習起來比較方便,也可以讓老師上課時方便操作。

真的好高興找到這首音樂,還有以錄影來紀錄練舞的方式。這些都是練舞的最佳武器
回頭想想,你真是我的幸運女神唷!

對了,本週的練習要等到週末才會發行,是吧!(我還是在這裡,痴痴的等......)

呵呵,你說對了一半,畢業後我是應該當電腦工程師才對!但我這也算是不務正業,工程師太枯燥乏味了,對我來說喜歡把興趣就當做是興趣來玩,如果拿來當吃飯的工具,我肯定會把自己悶死。

那,現在我也開始懷疑你是情報員
可以在這麼短暫的時間,搜尋這麼多相關的資料,而每一筆資料都是這麼受用呢!

還把音樂分成四段來分析節奏和旋律,經你這麼一分析,讓我在聽這個音樂更加清晰明瞭了。
